The PlayStation Phone

Summary: The device is headed into the market soon, likely boasting Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform

My take: Sony’s answer to Xbox Phones (aka WP7 phones) and Apple’s iOS mobile entertainment devices (aka iPhone and iPod Touch). It’s based on Android (which, imho, shouldn’t laste long, Sony will realize that relying on Google for TV and mobile device OS is not sustainable long-term, but helps having a decent go to market) and is aligned to competition’s specs. Nothing else to say at this stage, really…
