Intro: Groupon has released a Merchant Center for Groupon Stores, its recently uncovered self-service platform that businesses can use to set up virtual store fronts to promote and run their own deals.
My Take: Groupon doesn’t seem to have the exploding success some might have predicted (it’s all in the ecosystem, baby!) and seem indeed to converge with all location-based social networks out there. Clo is right, the cross road between social networks and x-commerce, between conversations and conversion seems to be a hot spot!
With LBS-based social networks, coupon issuers, e-commerce midgets and giants (eBay, Amazon…) transforming directories companies and Google, the field seems over-crowded. I’ll look somewhere else;o)
